One more week left
Hi!
So today I booked the flight ticket for Melbourne. The plan is to head down to Mlebourne for a couple of days and then go to Tasmania where I hopefully will be working for a while - fruit picking is the plan. The flight takes about 2 ½ hours, and the ferry to Tasmania takes 8 hours. I will see how much time I will be spending in Mel, probably not too much since I've still got quite a lot of things I want to see befroe I head home and I've already been here for 3 months. Still got another three months to go!
I will keep you updated for future plans!
Cheers

VIDEOBLOG: Byron bay
Hey everybody!
So it has been fairly quiet lately. I'm working now in Brisbane and I have about 2 weeks left before I head south again; this time to Melbourne. However, I found some unedited footage from Byron, so I decided this morning to cut it all to a little movie. Enjoy!

Yikes, spider!!
Soooo freaked out!
I had just watched Community (TVshow) with my friend I'm staying with and I was really tired. So I head towards the stairs to go to my room... And (not even joking) 10 cm in front of me, I see a huuuuge spider that is hanging on a thinn line of spiderweb. Eye level.
I scream.
I scream like I've never screamed before.
Ok, now I might exaggerate a little bit. But I freaked out. Jumping around and moaning... It still feels like it's on me.
God.

VIDEOBLOG: Steve Irwin
Hi everybody!
So yesterday, I went to the Australian Zoo by Steve Irwin. It was a really awesome experience. Again, I got to pet kangaroos and koalas. I also fed elephants and saw the crocodile show. I would recommend this place for everyone, the only negative part was (in my opinion) the entry costs. For an adult, you pay 60 AUD. I got in as a concession and I also had 20 % discount, which made it a lot cheaper.
Anyway, I've made a video with the highlights. However, the battery died while I was there so I didn't get everything on camera.
Cheers!

Heeeeeeeeeeey.
So I've had some complications lately regarding jobs.
And I wasn't too sure if I should put down all the effort to write it all down.
But I will.
So here it comes.
Last week, I handed in some resumes in a shoppingmall outside the city. And I got an interview for a fairly wellknown café. Only negative part was that I only can get 20 hours per week. And I calculated that my salary would barely pay for my hostel expenses.
So I decided to look for a job at a hostel - work in exchange for free accommodation. For a while, it looked like I was going to Nimbin and work at a YHA hostel. However, that didn't work out. But there was one hostel in the city that looked very promising.
So the guy at the hostel interviewed me and contacted me. He said that I was going to get the job, so he presented me the hours. Unfortunately, the hours and days collided with the caféjob. So I pretty much panicked and didn't know what to do.
At the same time, I got a second interview for a clothingstore in the same mall as the café. I went there and it looked promising too. The guy told me that I might even get fulltime, but he wasn't going to make the decision. But he was going to call me the day after (today).
I kept recieving emails from the hostel. Getting new hours that still wouldn't fit. But I was hoping for the clothingstore. Because that would be perfect and all I needed. And it would decide if I should keep the caféjob or not.
Suddenly, another hostel-opportunity arose. I was extremely keen to get that job, but as usual it didn't work out.
And the clothingstoreguy didn't call me today.
And I told the hostel that I wouldn't be able to do the job.
And I'm probably only going to end up with this 20 hours job.
And starv to death.
Good night.
